Random Thoughts

Haven’t posted in a while so I figure some random thoughts might be a good thing…

More rain. It just won’t stop raining. My grass needs mowing badly but if I try I’ll probably drown halfway through the effort. I can swim just fine, it’s just that I’m sure if the lawn mower goes it will take me with it.

We went to the zoo on one of the few nice days we’ve had recently. Apparently everyone else in the area had the same idea as it was packed. But fun was had by all and worth the hassle of the crowds.

I haven’t done much Flash work lately which bums me a bit. I’m getting more and more into Javascript and PHP but it’s not as satisfying to me for some reason. I may have to make myself sit down and do a Flash project later on once I get past doing a few websites for friends. A game project I’m sure.

I can’t wait for the Star Trek movie and I’m sure it will cause me to break my movie review silence. I’m thinking I may start doing them again for movies I really like or the ones I really like to hate. The mediocre ones just aren’t worth the time.

Arwen is almost at the stage of starting to be more fun than work. Although Allison does most of the work so I don’t know what I could be complaining about.

There’s a site I visit that relates to work and I recently got into a small dispute with one of the bloggers about a web design subject. I was not the only one in the comments that disagreed with her but I was the most vocal. She decided to use our dispute as the inspiration for her next article. After a few days no one has bothered to comment on this article. I’m not sure how I feel about that. Is it vindication for my position because no one wishes to comment or is the subject just that boring?

Anya will soon start her swimming lessons to join the lucky and privileged group of people who will avoid drowning in my front yard. Did I mention it’s nonstop rain around here?
